U-Pick Produce

Why U-Pick if you can buy the same fresh fruit and veggies in store? We think there are a few good reasons.

1. You know what you want - pick exactly the size and ripeness that suits your needs.
2. It's great exercise.
3. It's an experience for you kids to not just HEAR from someone else but to SEE, SMELL and TOUCH  for themselves where their food comes from and how it grows.
4. It's a great way to take advantage of our beautiful Okanagan sun!
5. It saves you money: If you are going to can or freeze tomatoes, you can save when buying large amounts. 

U-Pick Tomatoes

Every spring 10,000 tomato plants get pressed into the soil on our sun soaked hillside. It isn’t uncommon for people to pick over two hundred pounds of tomatoes in under an hour! Those that brave the work of picking their own tomatoes and canning them enjoy the beautiful summer flavor all winter long.

Prices are $.50/lb if you bring your own container, $.55 if you use ours.
Fields are open during regular market hours. 

U-Pick Peppers

Sweet peppers, hot peppers, yellow, green and red peppers.  Each year we plant rows and rows of peppers so that by mid August we’ve got enough peppers to satisfy your every salsa need!

Prices are $1.00/lb for all peppers with your container or $1.05/lb if you use ours.
Fields are open during regular market hours. 

U-Pick Apples

Farmer Bob says, “turn the eye to the sky”! For the last twenty years, Bob Davison has been showing hundreds of school tour kids how to pick their apples while being careful with the apple and gentle with the tree.  Starting in September we now have opened this activity up to anyone who wants to learn about apple picking and enjoy picking their very own fresh apples – right off the tree! This event, joined with the Johnny Popper Apple Train, is an event the whole family will enjoy. 10am -4pm every weekend in September.

U-Pick Pumpkins

Drink a hot spiced pumpkin latte as you enjoy the sound of kids shrieking with excitement as they jump off the Johnny Popper Apple Train and into the field overflowing with pumpkins. Every October weekend, we have u-pick pumpkins and train rides to Davison Orchards’ Pumpkin Patch.  There is no event better for the family. Create memories, and have a blast picking the perfect pumpkin for that perfect jack-o-lantern!
