2010 Season Long Activities

Crazy Cow Kid’s Corral

Come on over and play in our newest addition to Davison Orchards. Lots of farm themed old fashioned fun for all of our jr farmer friends alike. Milk Bessie the cow, pump old fashioned water pumps and race a duck down the trough, climb into the tree house, play in the corn barn or race John Deere trikes. The Cost is $4.00 per child from ages 2 - 16 with Parents and gaurdians free with a paid kid's admission. Play area is open weekends in May and June 10am - 4pm. Purchase your admission wristbands from the cashier in the market

Johnny Popper Orchard Tours!

Tour the farm, learn some interesting history and enjoy a spectacular view of Vernon!
Weekends starting in May- Daily from July through until September - Departure times vary through the season.

Special Events

May 8 - Apple Blossom Festival

Celebrate Springtime in the apple blossoms! There will also be a special tasting event, and apple everything to eat!

May 9 - Blossom Tours, Mother’s Day Luncheon

Experience springtime in the orchard and spoil Mom with a luncheon on the patio or inside seating at Auntie May's Deep Dish Cafe. If mother Nature co-operates we will also have blossom tours.

June 12 &13 Tourist in Your Own Town

City wide event! Come out for the day and enjoy a complementary Johnny Popper Orchard Tour. Enter your name to win a great prize from Davison Orchards and a chance to win the city's Grand Prize! Go to www.vernontourism.ca to see what other activities are offered around town.

June 20th - Fathers Day Pancake Breakfast

Come for Tom Davison's famous pancakes (a household tradition), sausages and apple cider syrup! Breakfast served from 8:30-11:00. Free orchard tours for all dads.

July 1 - Canada Day BBQ

Celebrate Canada Day and enjoy a down-home beef BBQ with Dora Davison's famous potato salad and top off lunch with a slice of our famous apple pie.

September is Apple Fest Month

The Weekends of September 4,5; 11,12; 18,19; 25,26
Here is a great opportunity to bring your family and jump on the Johnny Popper Apple Train to go on an adventure and pick your own apples. For $9.00 you get a train ride and a bag to hold 10 pounds of apples. Also, try your luck with apple contests and games, sample fresh - pressed apple juice and a dozen varieties of freshly harvested fall apples and indulge in our decadent Caramel and Fudge dipped Apples.Come early on Saturdays and start the day with Tom Davison's pancake breakfast and our wonderful Apple Cider Syrup from 8:00am to 11:00am.

October 2 to October 31 - Johnny Popper rides to the Pumpkin Patch

Every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm ride the Pumpkin Express to the Pumpkin Patch and pick yourself a perfect pumpkin. $7.00 includes the ride and any size pumpkin you can carry. $4.00 for riders only.

There will also be special apple tasting events to coincide with our fall harvest and the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival.

October 9 - 11 Thanksgiving Weekend

Take in the harvest colors with Johnny Popper rides to the Pumpkin Patch and have picture opportunities with our unique pumpkin people displays. Start a family tradition! Don't forget to order ahead a handmade pie for your Thanksgiving feast!

October 16 & 17 Family Pumpkin Festival

Our biggest festival of the year with a special kids' event. Johnny Popper rides to the Pumpkin Patch, children's entertainment, scarecrow-making workshop and pumpkin treats galore. Try pumpkin cake, pumpkin fudge, pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice latte's and much, much MORE!
