View in browser Adventure Time Summer is just around the corner and I am in the mood to get out and adventure! Every year at this time I imagine all the fun things that we could possibly do over the summer months. There are picnics, hikes, lakes and playgrounds calling out my name! But then every year at the end of summer I look back and see that, despite my great intentions, we never got out nearly as much as I had hoped.    There is just always so much work to do! To combat this problem, this year the kids and I are going to create an “Adventure Jar.” Each of us are going to write down a few of our summer-fun ideas and put them in the jar. Then, we are going to designate one day of the week as our adventure day! An activity will be pulled from the jar the day before, and we will spend the next day enjoying the beautiful Okanagan that we are blessed to live in.    To feed my troops as we adventure around, I have been working on perfecting a recipe for homemade fruit leather roll-ups! And may I say …they are so very yummy! Find them HERE to make your own. Print Recipe  The farm is also gearing up for summer fun to help turn your dreams of adventure into reality! As we celebrate the seasons, our theme for July and August is to “soak up summer.” Whether it’s creating an adventure jar or u-picking tomatoes, soaking up these sun-drenched summer months is so important! We are now open seven days a week, so every day is a good day to come for a visit. Our orchard tours will begin running seven days a week as well, beginning June 27th.    There is a new product being revealed this summer that I am especially excited about: homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches! Only available while supplies last during the summer months, this delicious treat is made by sandwiching ice cream between two cookies that are made from scratch in our Bakery.    Canada Day is coming down the pipe, and we have a lot of fun planned for that as well.
