Breathe in Spring Spring has arrived, the hillsides are blanketed with wild sunflowers, and the blossoms in the orchard will soon be bursting into bloom with the promise of fruit to come – apples, pears, prunes, and YES – PEACHES!! All of the tree fruits look promising but we are especially excited about our potential peach crop. With spring comes our opening – set to take place on Thursday, May 1st. We will be open Tuesday through Saturday until June 10th and then daily until we close in October.
This year we are “Celebrating our Seasons” in a big way with special food, special displays, and special activities for each season - spring, summer and autumn. We hope to celebrate the uniqueness of each season and provide something fresh and new for you all to enjoy.
We are kicking off the spring season with Blossom Tours which will run Fridays and Saturdays in May and June. We should have an amazing display of apple blossoms for our first week open. The blossom season is sweet, but oh! so short, so do plan a trip to “Breathe in Spring” and celebrate all the new beginnings here at the farm. On Saturday, May 10th, we will be offering FREE family photos in the orchard.
Our farmers have been very busy preparing the soil, planting veggies in the greenhouse, and building an irrigation system at our new property on Bella Vista Road. We will be planting apples and pears there in 2026 and 2027 and some ground crops, such as melons and sweet corn, this spring. Very soon we will also be planting vegetables on the home farm.
Every department at the farm has been very busy preparing for our upcoming opening on May 1st. We feel so privileged to grow produce in our fields, bake food “from scratch” in our bakery and make tasty food in our cannery – all to feed our community.
