Description

Buttercup squash have a dark green skin. The inside flesh is orange with amazing sweet flavour. The texture is quite dry and very smooth. Buttercup is a relative of the Ambercup.

Cooking Ideas

To prepare Buttercup squash, cut it in half and scoop out the seeds. It is fantastic baked or microwaved, then mashed with butter. This squash can also be substituted for sweet potato in many recipes.

Storage

Squash can be successfully stored for up to 6 months. Store in a cool location and wipe the outside with a bleach water mixture to help it last.
